How To Become A Better Leader | WWR Says

             Being likeable will help you in your job, business, relationships, and life. I study some successful business acquaintances and friends and try to determine what made them so successful. I found out that some of the concepts are quite simple, though we often lose sight of the simple things - things that not only make us human, but can actually help us become more successful. Below are some of the concepts:

Listening is the foundation of any good relationship. Great leaders listen to what their customers and prospects want and need, they listen to the challenges those customers face. They listen to colleagues and are open to new ideas. They listen to shareholders, investors, and competitors.

Storytelling is what captivates people and drives them to take action. Whether telling a story to one prospect over lunch, a boardroom full of people or thousands of people through an online video.  After listening, leaders need to tell great stories in order to sell their products, but more important, in order to sell their ideas.

Authenticity. Great leaders are who they say they are, and they have integrity beyond compare. Vulnerability and humility are hallmarks of the authentic leader and create a positive, attractive energy. Customers, employees, and media all want to help an authentic person to succeed. Tomorrow's leaders are transparent about who they are online, merging their personal and professional lives together.

Transparency makes it a lot easier to sleep at night - unworried about what you said to whom, a happier leader is a more productive one. There is nowhere to hide anymore, and business people who attempt to keep secrets will eventually be exposed. Openness and honesty lead to happier staff and customers and colleagues.

Team Playing. No matter how small your organization, you interact with others every day. Letting others shine, encouraging innovative ideas, practicing humility, and following other rules for working in teams will help you become a better leader. You’ll need a culture of success within your organization, one that includes out-of-the-box thinking.

Responsiveness. The best leaders are responsive to their customers, staff, investors, and prospects. Every stakeholder today is a potential viral spark plug, for better or for worse, and the winning leader is one who recognizes this and insists upon a culture of responsiveness. Whether the communication is email, voice mail, a note or a a tweet, responding shows you care and gives your customers and colleagues a say, allowing them to make a positive impact on the organization.

Adaptability. There has never been a faster-changing marketplace than the one we live in today. Leaders must be flexible in managing changing opportunities and challenges and nimble enough to pivot at the right moment. Stubbornness is no longer desirable to most organizations. Instead, humility and the willingness to adapt mark a great leader.

Passion is contagious to customers and colleagues alike. Those who love what they do don’t have to work a day in their lives. People who are able to bring passion to their business have a remarkable advantage. Finding and increasing your passion will absolutely affect your bottom line.

http://worldwithrhecel.blogspot.com/

Surprise and Delight create incredible word-of-mouth marketing opportunities. Most people like surprises in their day-to-day lives. Better leaders under promise and over deliver, assuring that customers and staff are surprised in a positive way. There is a plethora of ways to surprise without spending extra money - a smile; We all like to be delighted.

http://worldwithrhecel.blogspot.com/

Simplicity. The world is more complex than ever before and yet what customers often respond to best is simplicity — in design, form, and function. Taking complex projects, challenges, and ideas and distilling them to their simplest components allows customers, staff, and other stakeholders to better understand and buy into your vision. We humans all crave simplicity.

http://worldwithrhecel.blogspot.com/

Gratefulness. Better leaders are ever grateful for the people who contribute to their opportunities and success. Being appreciative and saying thank you to mentors, customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders keeps leaders humble, appreciated, and well received. It also makes you feel great.
Above all else, treat others as you’d like to be treated. By showing others the same courtesy you expect from them, you will gain more respect from coworkers, customers, and business partners. Holding others in high regard demonstrates your company’s likeability and motivates others to work with you. This seems so simple, as do so many of these principles — and yet many people, too concerned with making money or getting by, fail to truly adopt these key concepts.

Bloggers Forum | Rabies Awareness | Rabies Free Philippines

             On my elementary days, I was bitten by our own pet and got healed by the medicine that was injected on me. Though our pet doesn't have any rabies but just for safety precaution I did take those medicines. And now, since I so love pets especially dogs, I don’t want them to be not well treated and be feared by any human because it hurt me a lot. So the moment I was invited by Ms. Rachel of PIA-Cebu (Philippines Information Agency-Cebu) on a forum about Rabies Awareness, I didn't think twice.
Bloggers Forum | Rabies Awareness | Rabies Free PhilippinesBloggers Forum | Rabies Awareness | Rabies Free Philippines

The Guests of Bloggers Forum for Rabies Awareness:
Dr. Teodoro A. Dabocol (Regional Rabies Coordinator, Dept. Of Agriculture 7)
Dr. Mary Ann Gabona (Provincial Veterinary Office)
Dr. Pilar Romero (Dept. of Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries, Cebu City)
Dr. Eugenia Mercedes Canal (Regional Medical Rabies Program Coordinator, Dept. of Health 7)

Some of the information I've got in the forum was the reasons for dog’s registration:
1. Dog's identity: (To Identity Real Owners of Dogs)
2. Will enable lost dog and its owner to be reunited;
3. Registered dogs can make pet owners liable for medical expenses in case of accidental bites (Provoke or unprovoked);
4. Could be recorded officially as stray or non-stray;
     - Registration should be compulsory
     - Charged owners a reasonable sum for registration would make owner think more seriously before acquiring a dog and prevent the destruction of
Unclaimed strays, but also of the many hundreds of unwanted dogs taken to veterinary surgeons to be put down (euthanasia);
    - One female dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 puppies in just 6 years;
    - One female cat and her offspring can produce 420,000 kittens in 7 years.
And also the disadvantages of stray dogs:
1. Destruction of property;
2. Sometimes causes road traffic accidents causing death/injury to humans;
3. Cost of hospital treatment/human vaccination/other injuries;
4. Injuries/attacks on humans and farming livestock;
5. Cost of life and anxiety;
6. Scattering garbage
    - neuterized dogs are less likely to stray and would not cause unwanted pregnancies if they did stray;
7. Rabies and other zoonoses;
8. Overpopulation of unwanted dogs and cats;
9. Death/injury of animals on the road.
10. Fecal and noise pollution.

Connect to Your Loved Ones with SwissClear Global

" End any communication problems that bothers you a lot, with SwissClear Global"

Mostly nowadays, Filipinos are looking forward to work abroad for so many reasons and one of it is for their loved ones to have a brighter future. The thing is while millions of Filipinos work overseas either temporarily or permanently, their children directly carry the burden of living with absentee parents. Flying far from home will made you missed the loved ones you left behind, advanced communication technologies such as the latest Internet communication features and tools do play a great role on connecting us on our families even we’re too far from each other’s side. Long-distance relationships among families luckily are preserved.

I do experience such thing, having one of your closest cousin be far, that you're not be able to talk on them personally like before. Online technologies do stay us connected but there are things that hinders us from doing so, like logging in a computer(what if you don't have a computer with you) or having a very slow internet connection. Good thing that I had just learned that SwissClear Global do have solutions if those things are present then you may simply put constant communication remains possible despite the geographical separation.

Building Communities to End Poverty | Young Minds Academy Experience

 " We Respect the Dead but we have to give Dignity to the Living. "

        We are having our Young Minds Academy Learning Visit of Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. in the former Lorega Public Cemetery that day when I heard those nice lines up there. My heart bleeds passing and looking on those crashed tombs, broken bones of the dead outside its coffin, those houses built on tombs and people are struggling on their living conditions. It gives me HOPE knowing that Gawad Kalinga(GK) was trying to help them. Gawad Kalinga together with its partners was going to build 8 shelters in the former Lorega Public Cemetery that can house 60 families per shelter, one of which was now under construction and the other 7 was on the process. It will also give a relocation site for those bones and dead bodies retrieved on the cemetery.
         Isn't it great to have foundations like Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation that was visioning to build communities empowered by people with faith and patriotism; driven by a culture of caring and sharing, dedicated to eradicate poverty and restore human dignity. And the most important of all, Gawad Kalinga has put God in its center... ^_^
