Banana-Q Ice Cream | Pinoy Sorbetes

I’m pretty sure the typical Pinoy sorbetes hasn’t got the whiff of this yet.

My friend treats me a cone of Banana-Q Ice Cream and was totally amazed. It really tasted like banana-Q. The aftertaste of fried banana covered in melted brown sugar dominated the whole ice cream. The bits of banana-Q on the ice cream were a big plus, too. Although the frozen delight lacked the creaminess, I still complimented on how they have combined unusual but familiar flavors into the cold treat we all love. To say that it only looks like your typical ice cream is an understatement. In fact, they also serve Halo-halo, Tsoko Pinipig, Manga’t Suman, Kape’t Gatas and Calamansi flavors!.

Now, let’s see who wouldn’t get tingly with curiosity.

Social Networking Sites Got Us!

Today, Facebook has over 400 million users worldwide. Twitter is impending to outrun it with 75 million. Friendster has gained 90 million, mostly from Southeast Asia and so on for the other social networking sites. These mere numbers are facts. However, these facts are not just plain truths. They are proof that web users around the world have given in to these social networking sites’ massive popularity. You ask why? Of course, the online phenomena didn’t just happen out of the blue.

It probably isn’t new to you that one major importance of social networking sites is communication. You can either send a message or even just a quick “hi” to anyone who may be miles away with just a single mouse click. Social networking sites truly took the bother of snail mails and expensive calls and texts away from us. Through these we can now easily keep in touch with the families on other country.

These social networking sites also feature groups and fan pages. They may either be for a cause, a school organization or a business company. Fan pages also help artists, celebrities and groups to update those who had become their fans of their latest news and whereabouts. In fact, these pages can be transformed into informal open forums by launching discussions on wall posts or notes.

Businesses can even expand on these sites. Users can turn their profiles into virtual billboards by posting their products and allowing other users to order and purchase them. And some of my friends did it and they got a bang on their individual business.

Social networking sites have also been very helpful to its users because of its capacity to search for people all over the world. However, some claim that invasion of privacy is possible since other users can delve into someone’s profile including that person’s personal information, pictures, videos and wall posts; a friend of mine was a victim. This has long been compromised by social networking sites by giving the user freedom to keep his/her profile private.

These sites have given web users a taste of convenience and efficiency. No wonder they have received tremendous acceptance from millions of people worldwide, although it’s disappointing that some of its users are too immature to use the site as means for their foolish plans. Some of them would either post scandal pictures or talk trash to a certain user on his/her profile. Some would even disregard work or study and spend more time posting nonsense and upload vanity pictures. Others keep on virtually stalking other users and even conceal on others’ identities.

True, they propose a number of disadvantages including addiction, wide-range procrastination and what else predisposed people can say. However, these obviously do not outweigh the advantages that social networking sites bring. Then again, think about it. These disadvantages are merely acts of man and not of the social networking sites.

They do not reveal our private information nor post bad things against us. They do not waste our time. We do. We should not ignore this online revolution just because of the few flaws. As a matter of fact, I can strongly say that they not disadvantageous at all if we try to use them responsibly. What are actually disadvantages are those people who abuse them.

Be responsible and act as a respectful person. ^_^

Cappuccino Crepe | Crazy Crepes

Who says you can’t take coffee as a dessert? Crepes will prove you wrong! Crazy Crepes gives you a variety of crepe flavours – mostly fruity. So for a change, I tried the most unusual crepe flavor there was – the Cappuccino Crepe. A crepe with hefty amount of whipped cream, cappuccino mix, cookie bits and chocolate syrup. All those whipped cream really got me insane. It got more and more revolting as I tried to consume the whole of it.

The good thing was, you can add a scoop of ice cream flavour of your choice. The ice cream pulled the whole thing out. It gave the crepe the sweet aftertaste. Based on experience, I suggest that you buy a crepe that is already served with ice cream so you wouldn’t have to order for a scoop.

I really don’t know where my friend buy it but believe me it’s great.

Social Networking Sites On The Go

Anyone who has not had the slightest idea what on earth are Twitter, Plurk, Multiply, Friendster and Facebook must either be too naïve or Digital, a Filipino-owned digital marketing company, almost 70 percent of internet users in the Philippines use Friendster. Other research shows that a great number of Filipinos are Multiply users and just recently, the Philippines ranked 8th place as the country with the largest number of Facebookers worldwide.

These facts tell that Filipinos and people from all over the globe can’t help it but be captivated by these social networking sites. This is because these sites allow people to keep in touch with one another no matter the distance at the comforts of their own homes. From the sound of that, social networking sites sure spell captivating, but before you glue your eyes on your computer monitors, there are hitches you should know.

These sites aren’t only made so that people could socialize; on the contrary, it contributes to people becoming increasingly isolated. People have to spend considerable amount of time sitting in front of their computers updating their profiles because that is what you should do the moment you signed up for a social networking account. Besides, what’s the use of Facebook account if you won’t update it anyway? People get to interact lesser with other people who they really care for and aren’t virtually present because of what social networking sites require from them.

Social networking sites also blur the distinction between real friends and not; there is a growing confusion between the people we really care about and the people we don’t. Yes, despite the charisma these sites have for us, they sure cost us a lot of hospital bills when worse get to worst.

While people confidently post their information on these sites, one’s privacy is at stake. Does extended network ring a bell? Even if you’ve secured all your information it is still possible for culprits to pry into some of your information. Also, social networking sites features “send a message” so that strangers could initiate their evil tricks. In a social networking site your private information is vulnerable to people with bad intentions – bullies, stalkers, fraudsters and identity thieves counted.

While it is true that we are the ones responsible for our actions, we simply can’t deny the fact that actions are always triggered by motivations. The presence of these online social networking avenues motivates people to use it as it is.

Happy Surfing the Net guys and Oh! be careful!!! ^_^

Ice Cream On Pie | Unique Dessert

Ice cream is just ordinary but ice cream on pie is totally interesting! As you take a chunk, the first thing you notice is the pie’s solid texture as it blends with the ice cream. The ice cream had a flaky texture since it was frozen solid when it was put out of the cooler. Eating this dessert might be discouraging to those with sensitive teeth. You cannot bite into the pie unless you bite the cold ice cream, you know.

Anyway, the ice cream pie comes in three flavors: double dutch, chocolate and butterscotch caramel. I ordered double dutch and could not really distinguish the flavour of the ice cream from that of the pie. Well, I still gave thumbs up for the idea and the rice crispies (which served as the pie), although they weren’t crispy at all.

You can try this with me, if you want. ^_^

What am I going to wear today? | Wear What You Say!

“What am I going to wear today?” This is the question that we ask during these semestral breaks, when wearing the school uniform is not required. But in my case, I’m studying in a school where school uniforms are not required even on school days. Usually, when we finally find one plain t-shirt, whatever is the color and albeit a bit dilapidated already, we always end up wearing it.

Once you are gone outside of the house, you will be amused to see that, just like what you do, most people you meet are also just wearing T-shirts. When you start to think that they are losing interest to declare their fashion statements, you will figure out that their shirts are really rather distinct from what you wear. You will notice that theirs got some kind of rare but attractive prints and designs. Perhaps, it is your interest that would make you ask the question: “Where have all those shirts come from?” and “What are their brands?”.

You now stumble upon this blog post and so please begin reading.
Shirts with printed statements on them, such as “I’m with stupid (with an arrow pointing to the guy who stands beside him)”,”Sorry girls I’m taken” and “I Love Cebu” are more commonly known as “statement shirts”.

Here in our country, several statement t-shirts have come out and are still coming out. Their themes range from the nationalistic to those which make you insanely laugh your asses off. You should know that there are people who actually work hard to conceptualize the statements and designs of these shirts. High-level statement shirt artists and makers spend hours and even months conceptualizing unique and attractive prints.

Statement shirts are actually good head turners for those of you who are pure attention freaks. It gives you a tag or an identity distinct from all of the other people around you. So, if you want to stand out from the rest, be sure to pick the right kind of shirt.

Wearing statement shirts is also one of the best ways to express oneself and is also a very good impression maker. Those who are timid and shy can just wear one outspoken statement shirt and have all the people they meet nod their heads in approval, or in… amusement. Joke.

There are statement shirts which do not really tell something of worth. Oftentimes, they are worn simply badges for bragging rights or just to insult and bash other people. So, before you could possess any of these statement shirts, let me remind you that what you wear actually reflects on what other people think of you. Let us all be responsible dressers and good mannered statement shirt patriots.

Statement shirts are good for your day-to-day wear. They are simple yet very fashionable. If you decide to go out of your house in a shirt, be sure to wear one which is not plain and tasteless. After all, what you wear is what you appear to other people.

    So flavor up!

Creamy Delights to Tickle Your Senses | Gelatissimo

Enough for you to crave for something cold, sweet and satisfying.

Then again, wouldn’t we want another treat aside from the same old halo-halo? Are we not tired of sago’t gulaman yet? If you had the usual food trips for quite a while now, you would definitely drool over these must-tries.

Gelato

Get a break from the traditional ice cream. Gelato is now the in thing! It may sound like something jelly, but you’re wrong. It is an Italian variant of ice cream made guilt-free. Compared to the 18% fat content of traditional ice cream, gelato has only 10% of it so a sweet tooth like you may have as much as you want without worrying too much about getting yourself plump. Indeed, it is creamier and melts slower than the traditional ice cream. The flavours are so rich in a way that the moment its zest melts on your tongue, it stays there.

Speaking of flavours, Gelatissimo offers a variety of them. The safest flavour that I could recommend is the Choco Hazelnut. Who would go wrong with chocolate, right? The Biscotti is also good if you like Cookies n’ Cream. It is, in fact, a much mother version of it. For the adventurous, Chili Chocolate is for you. Trying this flavour was really astonishing. At first, you could taste the bittersweet flavour of the chocolate. After a while, the spicy aftertaste burns your throat. It may be uncomfortable, but it sure is something to try. Aside from the scrumptious flavours, believe me, the store is generous.

If you want to try this, I’m willing to join you. ^_^

The time to chill and relax does not mean we’ve got to spend much just to please our cravings. If you believe in “saving for the rainy days”, then now is the best time to start it.

The Five Finger Prayer | Prayer Guide

This is so neat. I had never heard this before. This is beautiful - and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives.

1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C.S. Lewis once said, a "sweet duty".

2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.

3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need GOD's guidance.

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.

5. And lastly comes our little finger - the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to GOD and others. As the Bible says, "The least shall be the greatest among you". Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively.

Praying was one way to communicate GOD...
So how about you, how are you going to pray...???
Are you following any guide...???
Just remember this: GOD will hear your prayers even though you're using any guide or not...
